More Than 24 US, British Troops Killed in Afghanistan

On June 4, Taliban attacked a US patrol in Korangal area of Manoogi district in Kunar province in which five Americans were killed.

 

Also on June 4, heavy clashes were took place between Taliban and foreign forces in Nowzad district of Helmand province. Taliban fighters attacked British and US troops at four places in Nowzad district, killing 12 foreign troops.

 

Two Taliban were also killed and five injured in the firefight.

 

A resident of the area told Afghan Islamic Press on satellite phone that warplanes also pounded the area in which several civilians were killed. A few days back spokesman of British troops told AIP that their forces did not take part in military operations. But contrary to British troops' spokesman, an Islamic State of Afghanistan government spokesman Qari Muhammad Yousaf told Afghan Islamic Press that although the UK troops did not take part in the operations but they had captured the country and Taliban would launch attacks against the British troops.

 

Taliban fighters fired 20 rounds of BM-21 cannon on the base of the coalition and puppet regime armies in Khair Kot district of Paktika province.

 

Taliban attacked puppet  regime  forces in Patan district of Paktia province in which one vehicle was destroyed.

 

Taliban ambushed and attacked a convoy of the puppet regime  army on Kandahar-Kabul highway in Bazargan area of Shah Joi district in Zabul province on Sunday morning in in which four puppet regime soldiers were killed.

 

On June 3, Taliban fighters attacked a convoy of the puppet regime army in Dara Zamtoon area of Shah Wali Kot district in Kandahar province. 11 enemy vehicles  were destroyed and 32 enemy soldiers  were killed in the attack. Three Taliban were also killed and five wounded in the firefight.

 

US troops launched a heavy attack against Taliban in Chora district of Uruzgan province on Saturday morning. The firefight continued till afternoon. Seven American troops were killed and six wounded in the clash and the US forces were forced to retreat.  US aircraft heavily pounded Sang-e-Dara village of Chora district, killing tens of children, women and other civilians. Two Taliban fighters were also killed in the clash.
