The ambush occurred late Wednesday near village Petropavlovskaya as two trucks carrying invaders were traveling from the Russian military headquarters in Khankala, outside the Chechen capital Jokhar, to the military headquarters in Mozdok in the neighboring Russian-occupied Caucasian state of North Ossetia. Three to four Mujahideen were believed to have been involved in the ambush, according to Russian puppets, the AP reports from Russia.

Late Wednesday, Mujahideen also attacked with small arms a Russian paramilitary police vehicle in the area of town Argun, purportedly inflicting no losses on the invaders, Russian media says.
