Taliban on Tuesday (Oct. 10) reported the killing of 13 foreign troops and their three spies in separate incidents during the last 24 hours. A heavy clash took place between Taliban and foreign troops after Taliban besieged foreign forces in Jaboon Daag of Alishang district in Laghman province today's early morning, spokesman of Taliban fighters, Dr. Muhammad Hanif, informed the Afghan Islamic Press. He said eight foreign troops were killed and their four vehicles were destroyed in the firefight.
In another incident last night, Taliban attacked the base of foreign troops in Tarra area of Manoogi district, Kunar province. The clash lasted for 35 minutes but there was no details of the casualties.
Separately, Taliban attacked a patrol of foreign troops in Waigal Dara of Noristan province last night, killing five foreign soldiers, the Taliban spokesman said.
He also reported the killing of three spies of foreign troops in Khushmand district of Paktika province last night. The spies tarned as "construction workers" were shot dead by Taliban in Goshta area of Wazakhwa area in Paktika province on October 9, 2006. The bodies of two spies were found while the body of third spyhas not yet been found, the puppet police said.
Meanwhile, 15 puppet soldiers were killed in the firefight in Zabul province yesterday (Oct. 8). Taliban attacked a check post in Khak-e-Afghan district of Zabul province yesterday afternoon which turned into a clash between puppet soldiers and the Taliban. 3 Taliban fighters also martyred in the action.
Taliban destroyed a vehicle of foreign troops in Andar district of Ghazni province on October 8, 2006, killing all the troops onboard. Andar district is 24 kilometers to south of the capital of Ghazni province.
