Some Islamic news agencies reported that a new Alliance of Mujahideen organizations had been formed in Iraq. The new unified organization is called Hilf Al-Mutayibeen and includes the Mujahideen Shura Council, Kataeb Ansar al-Tawheed wal-Sunnah, Jaish Al-Fatiheen, Jund al-Sahaba and some Sunni tribal chiefs. Other Mujahideen organizations are expected to join the Alliance in the future.
Hilf Al-Mutayibeen vowed to liberate Sunnah Muslims of Iraq from foreign oppressors and their local puppets.
