As a result of “telephone voting”, Zakayev has declared himself a "prime minister" of Ichkeria

Publication time: 25 November 2007, 16:24

According to Russian sources, particularly the newspaper "Kommersant" earlier owned by Boris Berezovsky, the former Minister of CHRI FM Ahmed Zakaev has declared himself the "prime minister" of Ichkeria.

With reference to Zakaev's words, it was said that some anonymous "members of parliament of CHRI" called to his phone and stated that "he is now a prime minister of Ichkeria and he was chosen from 3 possible candidatures."

At the same time Zakayev felt difficulty to enumerate names of his "competitors" because he was so to say "not in the swim."

Chechen ex-minister Zakayev have said that the "voting" on his "election" was a telephone voting (!), "but the procedure was correct" he said. He was referring to the "resolution", which was signed by one person - Saralyapov, whom Zakayev named a "chairman of the parliament of CHRI".

He didn't mention the names of members of Parliament who participated in this "telephone voting" but only said that there are "21 of 41 elected" and who are in Europe now. So it seems that Zakayev "forgot" to specify that a part of the former members of parliament of CHRI nowadays works with Kadyrov.

It should be noticed that in Europe operates also another "parliament" of Ichkeria, lead by former member of pre-war parliament Shahgiriev Apti. This "parliament" have elected another "Prime Minister" - some one named Husihanov Ahmed.  This "parliament"  at the same time filed a criminal case against Saralyapov (Zakaev's president of "parliament") because of "illegal activities".

Meanwhile, the work of Zakaev now is under investigation of authorities of Caucasian Emirate (CE).  We remind that Amir of CE, Dokka Umarov told these days in his statement to media that the case of the former Minister of CHRI FM Ahmed Zakayev is sent for investigation to the Mukhabarat (Security Service) of Caucasian Emirate.  (Video-statement can be viewed from this link)

Zakayev is accused in appeal to disobey to Amir of Caucasian Emirate, as well as in trying to make trouble and division among the mujaheddins.

Moreover  Zakayev's case will be investigated by the Supreme Shariat Court of Caucasian Emirate as a result of his statements against Muslims and Islam and mockery of Shariah, and appeals to infidels.
