All praise to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessings to the noblest of the Prophets - Muhammad and his family and righteous companions.
Truly, the movement for Islamic awakening is encountering with extremely difficult times.
We must all understand that all these events, threatening to seize ahlyuSsunna in a storm, are not like a tripping of a horse-rider, in other words rare, not-rooted error.
On the contrary, in fact a new sect, carrying with it some new foundations, and it all becomes clear to us time after time. Now, after the movement of renovation, was firm and resolute, 2 groups fell apart from it already, no one has strength and power, except Allah!
'Asraniyun (modernists): This is the first group, which broke away, and they are secularists in the skin of Islam. Earlier, I wrote an essay about them, which reveals their foundations and methods.
Defeatists, and this group, broke away from AhlyuSsunna, is now in it's early period of development (an essay written in 2003, shortly before the arrest of Sheikh Ali al Khudayr, now this movement has gained momentum and became official in Saudi Arabia. Its bitter fruits we are now reaping in Russia, where there was a similar split among AhlyuSsunna. No one has strength and power, except Allah!).
From time to time it declares foundations that are "relevant to the time, wisdom, and the current situation", then again, hides in the clothes of Ahl-Sunnah wal-Jamaa and justifies it's actions by accepted differences in opinion and ijtihad. The age of this movement is not more than about two years.
Let us start with the second group, which split from the Islamic awakening, and this is exactly what is called: a new awakening, a moderate course .. or as they call themselves, a moderate medial movement. All of these names are synonymous of this group. They have various principles and methods that are new. Among them:
First principle, where they added their bida'a: the Iman and Kufr.
In the field of Iman they gravitate to Murjia, while in the field of Takfir they are close to manhaj of Djahmits. And that's why they do not make takfir to anyone who for example curses Allah and His Messenger, or the religion of Islam, as long as he is a believer in his heart, or to someone who merges into an alliance with the infidel crusaders, while he is a believer in his heart. All these conditions are returning to one basis, and all this is Irja.
With regard to their principles in takfir, there are:
a) Unlimited and a generalized warning against making Takfir without explanation and detailed analysis.
b) Full synthesis of difference between a person and his words and actions of kufr. (to make it easier to understand - words like "the one who did kufr, is not a kafir"). And they always make such a difference and in any matter, even if it's a great kufr and it is clear and obvious, in the clear issues, and even if the evidence had been collected for Takfir and obstacles removed.
For this reason alone, there are no such persons, to whom they could make takfir, except those mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah in the explicit and direct text, such as Pharaoh or mushriks, but in no case the people of our time, who fell in the kufr.
c) Negation in studying and understanding Takfir and its basis, and restraining others from learning the fundamentals and principles of Takfir, and gain knowledge in this area. They themselves do not teach this, and do not study.
They also warn against the books of Al-Dawa, Al Najdi imams, and learning the fundamentals of Tawhid, and the recurrence of Kitab Al Tawhid by Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab, without the need (in our time, this principle has changed a bit, and now they reduce the Tawhid to the study of Tawhid Asmau UasSifat and books of Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab pass with Sharh of their scholars, where the call to Tawhid is distorted, and sometimes the opposite of what it says there is presented). Moreover, they refuse to study things that deviate us from Islam, and consider talking about this as Fitna of Takfir.
d) Lack of attention to issues of "Walya Wal' Bara", hatred and enmity towards infidels, and lack of attention to the issue of negation of Taghut.
Statements concerning the justification of absolute shirk unknowingly, even if it's ignorance of those who reject and turn away from obtaining the knowledge of Tawheed, or the one who is indifferent to knowledge, even if the knowledge is widely available. And all these statements have reached such a point that some of them give the excuse for ignorance, of ignorance of the Jews and Christians.
A call for mutual forgiveness, peace throughout the world, and the constant repetition of this.
Prevention of accusations of unbelief of Taghuts, who replaced Sharia laws by artificial ones, and avoidance of those who made takfir to them, and enmity towards them on that basis.
They take some specific personalities among the rulers and politicians (e.g. - Saudi King, Aliyev, Nazarbayev, and so forth.), as the scale of salyafism and a litmus test to identify those who are not one of them. If someone does Takfir on them, even if they have committed something of a very explicit Kufr and Takfir obstacles have been removed, they call him "Khawarij ", and "takfirist", and he is a man of Fitna and does not belong to AhlyuSsunna.
I regards to Jihad, this defeatist movement group, which negates an armed Jihad, they are the ones who refuse to those who fight in His cause, and they are those who held back from the path of Allah. They have placed new conditions for the validity of an armed jihad which show its invalidity in our time, that in reality means the abolition of the Jihad in general.
They replaced it by jihad of a word, or "jihad" on the Internet, or Jihad as "Tarbiya" (fighting against their own nafs), or Jihad in fighting innovations, etc. by what they have spoiled people and the youth. Some of them even deny the existence of an offensive jihad.
They attack the mujahedeen with their tongues and accuse them of ill-considered actions and extremism and call them ignorant, that they have no idea of the Waki' (the current reality), and also say that they are Khawarij, takfirists, reactionaries, and non else.
They accuse them of bringing harm to the Ummah, and not consulting with the scholars, and state that they do not take into consideration the "benefits and harm", and that they had destroyed the successes achieved in the call to Islam, and that Ummah is being dragged into the conflict without being prepared , and other similar words of defamation and grave injustice to our brothers - the Mujahedeen.
And out of their doubts on this issue is that Ummah is not ready for Jihad, and the fact that it is allowable to draw the Ummah into the battle, for which it has no sufficient force. And they emphasize a training as a MUST for Jihad, and they say that without Tarbia - education and purification - Jihad is not valid. They accuse the Mujahideen in negating the achievements of Islamic renewal to zero, for example, that because of them some centers for da'awah in the West are now closed, accusing them of Jahilia, and that they did not study in Islamic universities, and so on and so forth.
And they repudiate themselves of those who support the jihad and the Mujahedeen, exclude them from their circle, and even go so far as to declare them to be sinners, and deny them any merit, and reward from Allah, and argue that those who died in battle among them are not Martyrs/Shaheeds.
In the field of FIKH, they've opened door for concessions, and invented what is false and in a defamatory way called "FIKH of relief". This group chooses what fits into our time, and that what includes facilities for the people, of those issues, where they are, as people of understanding say - disagreed.
And that is despite the knowledge that in all matters where people DISAGREE, it is a MUST to APPEAL TO the evidences of SHARIAH (Quran, Sunnah, and ijma).
This group has moved away from this, and they declare some views on FIKH to be the most correct on the basis of ease for the people. And with this false foundation, they make fatwas on issues such as the hajj, purchase, appearance, the hijab and other issues related to women, beard, jamaat prayer at home, travel for women without Mahram .. and so on and so forth.
And so, in matters of FIKH, they become people of passion and concessions.
Regarding their attitude towards people of innovations, they have chosen tactics weighing between good and bad.
With regard to their positions in connection with the secularists and their employees in politics, then between them there is a practice of communication and lowering of bridges of friendship is seen, and the rejection of the jihad against them, and total banishment of it, and the rejection of foundations that have salyaf in regards to such people.
In politics, they prefer to discuss those specific issues on which no one disputes, in order to please everyone, while the issues of great importance are ignored, such as Tawhid, based on Al "Walya Wal Bara", the issues of disbelief in Taghut and issues related with Jihad and the Mujahedeen, and in call to forbid what is wrong and to encouragement for the good.
Usage of style in parliaments or in the secular alliance or policy, or (people) or the cultivation of intellectual pursuits and perception, and taking that as a way to create an Islamic state.
Exaltation of the issues of Maslyah(a) and Mursal(ya) (Islamic analysis of
weighing between the harm and benefit before a particular action) and the
Sharia policy, in their minds, even if it is contrary to Sharia law.
In fact, most of their methods of providing evidences in support of their positions is to use certain maslyaha (benefit) as an argument. It is for this reason, they criticized the destruction of Buddha statues done by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, with the reasoning that a certain "benefit" requires waiting, and calls not to rush for their destruction.
Then, after that, they begin to invent a kind of "harm" from such actions - even if the whole Sharia says that the greatest and most powerful benefit - in the establishment of Tawhid and the destruction of shirk.
They act against the Mujahideen in the name of "benefit", and they compromise in matters of Aqidah and the foundations of religion in the name of profits. They use political machinations in the name of Sharia policy and maslyahya.
They refused to clarify the truth and to refute misconceptions in the name of good, as they say, and they refused to refute their errors which they admit and recognize, but only "not in public", for profit and "unity", despite the fact that this error remains and continues to spread, and the people of falsehood and wickedness used them for their own purposes.
They've also invented a principle of peaceful coexistence with the infidel Americans in the manner of common world and agreement on the basic of main general principles, as well as the elimination of the "violence and terrorism", coupled with cooperation in this.
They came up with these bases at a time when "the rulers" are looking for ways to establish dialogue and cooperation with the West against Islam, and they are trying to find a relief for this in the Sharia to justify it. And their ideas, as well as their letters to some of the "rulers", tuned Taghut on a favorable footing for them, and they began to assist them in disseminating these rotten foundations.
But when denials began to come out to their ideas, they made a sharp turn and began to criticize the actual denials, arguing that it divides ahlyu-Ssunna, and makes a split and Fitna, etc. (and look at how hysterical become defeatists in Russia and "Commonwealth of Independent States" countries, when their machinations encounter denials from the brothers, requiring knowledge!).
However, they have forgotten about the path of Salyaf in rebuttal, which explains the truth and deposes lies, even though themselves in the past they have refuted many well-known legal verdicts and scholars, and they never look at the issue of rebuttal as at the fact that it divides Jama'a and creates fitnah, when they make rebuttals themselves!
Basing on this, my beloved reader, I must give you a few samples of rebuttals of Salyaf, who were with the sole intention of ascertaining the truth and refuting falsehood:
- "Kitab al Siyar" Al-Auzai and this is refutation of "Siyar" of Abu Hanifa, and the "Kitab al-Rodd Ala Siyar-al Auzai by student of Abu Hanifa, Abu Yusuf
- Books, entitled: "Ar-Rodd Alya Al-Djahmiya", was written by: Imam Ahmad, Al-Darimi, Abu Dawud in his Sunan, Ibn Majah in his Sunan, and others.
- "Al Munassaf" Ibn Abi Shaiba in the chapter "Rebuttal against Abu Hanifa" [Rahimahullaah], as well as in the chapter in the book "Sunnah" by Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal, which is called "Al-Rodd Alya Abu Hanifa"
- Rebuttals by Ibn Teimya such as: "Ar-Rodd Alya Al-Bakri", "Qaida fi ar-Rodd alya Al Ghazali fi tavakkul" and other
And many other books by salyaf scholars.
The second group fallen apart from ahlyuSsunna, is quite extreme in it's delusion, and this the modernists. The views of this group are the same as that of the secularists, in matters relating to women, economics, politics, art, etc. They are Murgia in Iman and Djahmits in Takfir - along with very weak role of Islam in their views, and they are totally secular when it comes to politics and government.
- Note: There may be some scholars of Ahlyu-Ssunna who agree with the defeatists in somewhat one or two issues, and in this case, he will not be considered as one of their camp. Bearing that in mind, however, there are fears that he would be slowly going away in the direction of their manhaj, if he will not catch himself and stop. In this regard, it is said of him: he was wrong in that particular issue, but in others he remains as he was, and Allah knows best.
Apart from these two misguided groups, the Islamic awakening, praise be to Allah, is still based on AhlyusSunna in matters of Iman, Tawheed, Takfir, politics, jihad, the position of the people of the Sunnah regarding the infidels, secularists, people of bida'a and misguided groups, as well as in the rejection of coexistence and cooperation with the infidels, and the principles of the secularists.
Most of AhlyuSsunna, to Allah belongs all praise for it, remained on the truth, and no one has deviated from the people of the Sunnah, with the exception of these small groups that came against ahlyuSsunna with division and schism. We ask God to instruct us and them, and return them to the truth, and in turn, to protect the Muslims from the division and separation, and hatred and enmity, and contradictions to the Shariah.

Sheikh Ali Al Khudayr, may Allah free him, wrote this essay when the defeatist movement just on it's fist stages of birth and was growing. But now, with the full support of the authorities of the Arab countries and especially Saudi Arabia, this misguided group has become dominant among those who rank themselves to people of knowledge, and began to use the official approval of the authorities of the Arab countries.
Those who contradict them and refute their falsehood, are being murdered, imprisoned in the jails of taghut, are being hounded in the media, are being called "Khawarij", etc.
In Saudi Arabia, a special program to combat AhlyuSsunna is operating for several years now, it crosses any possibility to communicate the truth to the people, by firing scholars, imams and teachers, who tries to inform people about the truth, and some are thrown in jail. According to proudly voiced by "Sheikh" Solih Ali Sheikh, the Saudi minister of religion, since 2003, has already laid off about 3000 of imams and teachers. Saudi Arabia is praised for its "ideological struggle against terrorism" by "foreign partners" as well.
And the crowning events of the last known message was the message of the Traitor of the Two Holy Paces, to unite all the religions. What can we say? Subhanallah! May Allah help all the sincere scholar, and may He demean all the liars and apostates! Allahumma, Ameen!
