About 'popular' beliefs

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious the most Merciful,

The war is going on for many years and many people have already grown up and matured, from their childhood they got used to the sight of military personnel, weapons, armored vehicles, to the sounds of gunshots, and news about war victims from both sides. The war is a severe trial for everyone, for its participants and for those who reside close to the frontlines as well.

"And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient, Who, when a misfortune befalls them, say: Surely we are Allah's and to Him we shall surely return. Those are they on whom are blessings and mercy from their Lord, and those are the followers of the right course".

(The Holy Quran, Surah 2. "The Cow", verses 155-157)

If Jihad is going on our lands, it means that it is a command from Allah (glorious and exalted is He), and He is testing our nations by war. And if the people are committed to Allah (glorious and exalted is He), then He is quick to grant victory and comfort the believers. And if there many of those among people, who are faint-hearted and have a weak iman (faith), many of those who are arrogant and inclined to disobey His decrees, then the war will last until full recognition is complete. It will last, until the true believers fully realize that they need to obey their Lord in everything, whatever they like or dislike, and until the hypocrites undoubtedly forsake Him and perish or flee the lands of Islam. And if the majority of population disobeys Allah (glorious and exalted is He), then humiliation and poverty is set upon them, or the Most High totally destroys them. It is easy for Allah (glorious and exalted is He).

Under critical circumstances, it is clear that faint-hearted and people with a weak faith start to be displeased with the orders of their Lord, (a'uthu billah!), they look for a reason to evade fulfillment of their duties as Muslims, which seem to them as something overwhelmingly ponderous.

They start inventing lies, and are being irritated by people, who remain committed to their Lord therefore standing on a higher position than them in front Allah (glorious and exalted is He). And foes of Islam try to use such attitude in their own interests; they support and spread the rumors and inventions, so to prevent the masses of Muslims from joining the struggle.

"The holders back from among the believers, not having any injury, and those who strive hard in Allah's way with their property and their persons are not equal; Allah has made the strivers with their property and their persons to excel the holders back a (high) degree, and to each (class) Allah has promised good; and Allah shall grant to the strivers above the holders back a mighty reward: (High) degrees from Him and protection and mercy, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful".

Still, some sincere believers get very upset when they hear what venomous tongues have to say about diligent Muslims. But we need to remember that all the believers without an exception who fight for the truth overcome such accusations. The Prophet (pbuh) and his companions overcame the hate of the hypocrites and all types of rumors which hypocrites were spreading about them, as well.

And if we look at the example of Muhammad (pbuh) and his companions, then we see that as soon as the pagans of Mecca showed their impotence in fighting the faithful, when they suffered a severe defeat on a couple of occasions and could not get a revenge, then the people of Arabia started entering the fold of Islam in numbers and submitted themselves. And when the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) accompanied by the Mujahideen entered Mecca, then the meccans who so dearly hated the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and the believers, also submitted and readily embraced Islam. Even the bitter enemies of Islam suddenly reverted to the deen (religion) of Allah (glorious and exalted is He) after that.

Only recently, one of the brothers has asked me to explain to people that Mujahideen are fighting for the right cause, and are not connected with the secret service or anything indecent like that. It is far from being an exceptional occasion when some Muslims are upset by venomous tongues. I remember when one Muslim brother approached me a couple of times and said: "You are sincere person and a good brother, please be honest with me, is it Jihad on Caucasus? You know, so many people are saying so many bad things about our brothers!".

"On no account will Allah leave the believers in the condition which you are in until He separates the evil from the good..."

(The Holy Quran, Surah 3. "The Family Of Imran", verse 179)

The meaning of what people say should never be overestimated. "To say" and "to do" is not the same thing. Especially, if a person who defames the Mujahideen, has nothing to do with the struggle himself. If a person brandishes his fists and proudly boasts that he will join Jihad very soon, than probably in reality he is far from such intentions.

Same concerns those people, who curse Mujahideen all over the place; such people can hardly deserve any attention, because when the Mujahideen will be granted victory by the will of Allah (glorious and exalted is He), then such people will be praising Mujahideen on every corner. Most of the times the real Mujahideen are not known to general public, same is with the bitter enemies of Islam; they quietly and imperceptibly conceal themselves among the believers.

The widespread accusations of Mujahideen of "banditry", "fanaticism", conspiracy with foreign intelligence or even with Russian secret services - is nothing than an attempt of a faint-hearted people to let the steam off. Poverty, lawlessness, deprivations beget an aggression, a desire to find someone guilty of their own misfortunes. Obviously Russia is guilty for all that, but would one dare to go and knock the teeth out of Special Forces-occupant's mouth or out of cop's mouth who protects the Russian laws in the occupied lands?

Or would one dare, to publicly shout out on every corner, that Russia is a tyrant, its soldiers are bandits, and cops are national traitors? The Russian menials can beat you for this, kill you, and accuse you of being an "extremist". But, one can always defame the Mujahideen and not endanger himself, because Mujahideen are far, in the forest, and the occupants will even praise you for doing so. And one can also relieve one's feelings by shifting the blame for all misfortunes on someone else. It is in the nature of human beings to spill out their aggression on someone who cannot reply. For example, for the troubles at work to let loose the anger on the subordinates or even the family members, but not on the boss who actually caused the trouble. Let them be innocent, but they cannot kick back at you!

Certainly, the mass slander of Mujahideen is a very unpleasant and shameful act. Certainly, it shows that there are many fools and hypocrites, and that during the years of kaffir's dominance our nations became worst with regard to morality. But, if the people in their majority were truly against the Mujahideen, would the Jihad still be going on?

But Jihad keeps going; the quantity of Mujahideen keeps increasing. Someone must have been feeding them, sheltering them, and informing them about actions of the enemy. If it was some intelligence or secrete service they could have done better in feeding, arming and securing the Mujahideen. Thus, it is the people who support and help the Mujahideen. It's the ordinary people who live in the cities and villages. Regardless the poverty and lawlessness which flourish under the Russian occupation, they share their piece of bread and shelter with the warriors of Allah (glorious and exalted is He).

And if you take a look at those who say vile words about Mujahideen, do they actually do anything else against our zealous brothers besides talking? Do they actually put on their armor, go to the mountains, and search for the bases there? No, they only prattle, and if the infidels and apostates were pushed out to the mountains, and our brothers were securing the city streets and firing at infidel bases from the helicopters, same gossips with the same zeal would defame infidels and "poor policemen", whom they have pity for nowadays.

The stoned with stones Shaitan (Devil) manages to sow doubts in the hearts of some brothers when they hear such an evil talks. Why? Because they see a normal person, who confidently speaks such words and even manages to bring some kind of proves.

And it seems to some misinformed Muslims that seemingly such a smart person cannot say this type of things for no reason. Now you need to ask yourself, how many times you tried to prove your own thoughts and claimed that it was truth, when later it turned out to be wrong? It happens to anyone, but your interlocutor took you serious! Because, you always try to prove your point of view with utmost convincing look on your face. So do those who say spiteful things about Mujahideen.

They are too, trying to convince their interlocutor that they are right, and of course they try to convince their own selves; so they don't feel ashamed for themselves. Or you think that they will try to prove something with hesitant phiz and a confusing speech? So, you need to look not only at what kind of look that person has when he speaks and what kind of proves he brings, but also at his personality. At his Aqidah (Islamic theology), does he have a strong or weak character, is he an honest person or inclined towards unjust deeds. By the way, the last is very hard to detect when you meet someone for the first time. It is common that certain people seem to be sincere at first, and everyone around respects and listens only to them, but later their true personality comes out.

"Why did not the believing men and the believing women, when you heard it, think well of their own people, and say: This is an evident falsehood?"

"When you received it with your tongues and spoke with your mouths what you had no knowledge of, and you deemed it an easy matter while with Allah it was grievous".

(The Holy Quran, Surah 24. "The Light", verse 15) Human beings have tendency to develop a long and sophisticated logical chain out of their own thoughts in order to justify their opinion, and at the beginning it seems very reasonable and serious to their interlocutors, but in reality only makes them confused and often makes them believe in a lie.

Especially this is distinct in children, when they develop ability to make their own conclusions. The underdevelopment of logical thinking and lack of experience tremendously influence rightness of their judgment, but the ability to think independently carries children away so they start ignoring all sound arguments which completely refute their initial conclusions.

When I was going to an elementary school, once I've solved a math problem wrong. The solution to the problem solved by me was indisputably wrong, since it contradicted the basic multiplication table. In other words, if we assume that it was solved correct, then it would have been something like this: two times two is five, or two times six is fourteen. But I produced such a complicated and serious "proof" of my solution to the teacher, that she re-checked the problem situation fearing that the problem was composed with an error. And all this regardless that advanced math students got the problem right.

And if there are kids who are capable of using their "logic" to make their teachers doubt that two times two is four, do we even need to speak about adults who are trying to prove their case no matter what. So, when someone starts claiming that Jihad on Caucasus is banditry, that Mujahideen allegedly are intelligence agents and Kadyrov is a "true hero of Chechnya", you need not to listen to their twisted arguments but look at the obvious facts.

Facts which are clear as two times two is four, and two times six is twelve. It is that Jihad is continuously on for more than ten years and no greedy bandit gang will bear so much time in the mountains. It is that almost all leaders who started it became Martyrs (Insha'Allah), and the way of Jihad is still being carried by other zealous Muslims. It is that our Umara (commanders) suffered so much on this path, and lost their relatives and loved ones.

No agent of any intelligence will undertake such a risk where they are almost doomed, and will never agree to work if there is a chance that their close ones will be endangered. It is that there never was a time on Caucasus when no one opposed the Russian occupation.

How come those who fought against tsarist Russia and USSR are heroes, and those who fight against today's Russia are bandits? It is that Kadyrov, Yevkurov and Russian proteges like them, only in the last ten years have murdered more than a quarter million Muslims. Finally, it is that today's Jihad completely corresponds to Allah's Sunnah on the earth, and Mujahideen are exactly in the same condition which Allah (glorious and exalted is He) puts His sincere believers in.

Sincere person will never swear and curse all over the place. And those who do it always stand out of the crowd. Anyways, the people in their majority always try to adapt to the authorities. It is more important that the populace don't harm, than that it supports the Jihad. And what can the rumor-mongers do to the sincere slaves of Allah (glorious and exalted is He) besides insulting speech?

"And be not infirm, and be not grieving, and you shall have the upper hand if you are believers".
