A fire at Irganayskaya hydroelectric power station in Dagestan was extinguished at 5 am on Sept. 8, occupation sources report. Earlier, infidels claimed that the fire was quickly extinguished right after it broke out (as a result of a "clap").
Chronology of events:
Puppet sources initially reported that a transformer had been blown up:
"According to the disaster ministry, a fire broke out at about 11 pm after an explosion".
"On Sept. 7, at about 10:30 pm, a loud clap, like an explosion, was heard in one of the electrical transformers. The fire broke out", the Untsukulsky district police department said.
"A pillar of flame reached a height of 10 meters. Practically, there is no communication with the station. The station is cordoned off by the police, the situation is being clarified. Redundant power supplies are used for illumination of the site.
But then the media were instructed by the KGB, and in subsequent reports, the explosion was not mentioned any more.
At 1:20 am Moscow time, on September 8, the Russian propaganda reported that "the fire had been eliminated". However, at 2:00 am, authorities did not accept the report of firefighting hackworkers, and they had to report that "fire brigades continue to eliminate strong smoke and fires at Irganayskaya hydroelectric power station in Dagestan. And further they say:
"Currently, a strong smoke continues to come from a depth of 30 meters, where a container of oil is presumably located. Flames and fire are seen. Firefighters and workers of Irganayskaya hydroelectric power station are trying to eliminate hotbeds of fire and smoke. The disaster ministry's team is reinforced. Fire brigades arrived not only from Untskulsky district of Dagestan, but also from two neighboring regions of the republic.
Police protection of HPS, which is considered one of the largest hydroelectric power stations in the North Caucasus, was reinforced. The station is the largest diversion-type hydroelectric station in Russia. The building has two hydroelectric radial-axial hydraulic units with a capacity of 200 MW".
"At this hour (1:30 am Moscow time), the cause of the fire, which occurred in the engine room, is not reported, the occupation media said, and then, at 3:20 am, Russians have lost even more optimism: "It is possible that there was an external impact on the equipment".
On Wednesday morning, occupation sources announced that "the fire was extinguished, and now it is to be found out what happened. Nevertheless, it is possible already at the moment to speak of a technical failure", Russians claimed.
Meanwhile, sources in Dagestan report a quite a different picture of what happened.
A powerful explosion rocked Irganayskaya HPS approximately at 22:30 on Tuesday, and fire broke out. Workers at the station told that the blast destroyed one of two units. No information is available regarding the victims of the explosion.
Workers at the HPS have no doubt that the explosion was a result of a sabotage act and that it's not related to any "technical failure" or "short-circuit, resulting in oil catching fire in a tank", as Russians claim.
It is to be recalled that the Caucasus Emirate has officially declared an economic war on Russia, and that an explosion occurred at the electric substation "Lenin" in Kazan a week ago, where the walls of the building collapsed on the night of August 31.
Russian media reported on Sept. 3 that "the explosion is now a subject of close investigation by a commission. The cause of the explosion is investigated by a special commission. The probability of a terrorist atatck is be confirmed by a special expertise".
Let's remember that earlier the Mujahideen conducted a major sabotage operation at Sayan-Shushenskaya HPS and most recently at Baksan HPS.
