Thousands of Egyptians gathered on Wednesday at Tahrir Square in Cairo to mark the first anniversary of the beginning of mass protests in the country ended with the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak and the change of government.
Some came to celebrate the victory of Islamic parties in the first election after the resignation of Mubarak. Others require the continuation of political reforms in the country, report media outlets.
In honor of the anniversary of the protests, the military regime of Egypt that is in power, announced a partial lifting of emergency.
The protesters demanded at Tahrir Square to sentence Mubarak to death.
Protesters chanted slogans against the military council, urging it to lay down power immediately.
"The Egyptian army Tahrir killed us and I'm not afraid to say so", told Reuters one of the demonstrators Khaled Abdallah.
"The army and police murdered us and cut off the revolution's voice; but I am telling you now, the revolution's voice will not be silenced", he added.
"Enough of the military be in power" and "Revolution until victory, revolution on the streets of Egypt" - shouted the people who gathered at Tahrir Square.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Internet forums distributed a new treatment of Egyptian Mujahideen Movement "Ansar al-Jihad fi Sina (Helpers of Jihad in the Sinai)", in which they announced their oath to Emir of al-Qaeda, Sheikh Ayman al-Zawahiri, promising obey him in everything as long as he follows the Quran and the Sunnah.
"In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful!
Praise be to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions and those who follow him. And then ...
Allah Almighty says:
"Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment".
(The Holy Quran, Surah 9. "Repentance", verse 111)
The message is to our beloved Emir and honorable Sheikh Muhammad Abu Ayman al-Zawahiri, may Allah preserve him and help him, from your soldiers in the beloved Sinai in the Land of the Quiver.
We give you allegiance to listen and obey you in what (our souls) like and that does not like, in difficulty and ease, and now you have power over us, so throw us wherever you wish, and you will see and you will hear from us only what will please your eyes, and what will be pleased with your soul, We will never quit or surrender until the last drop of our blood is spilled in the Cause of Allah, until then, until they are judged on the earth under the Laws of Allah, with the permission of Allah Almighty.
And let Allah lead our beloved Sheikh Mujahid Ayman al-Zawahiri to what is good for Islam and Muslims, and we ask Allah to protects you as He also protects, and preserve the leaders of the Jihad wherever they are. Indeed, He is a Patron and He has the Power to preserve and protect. Your army of Jamaat Ansar al-Jihad fi Jazirat Sinai".
It should be noted from our part that earlier Mujahideen of Ansar al-Jihad declared about their intention to fight against the apostate regime in Egypt, as well as against "Israel" that occupied Palestine, and the US.
The address, entitled "Message number 1 - notification of creation" in particular stated:
"We promise Allah that we will do everything in our power to struggle with the wicked regime and members of the American-Jewish alliance".
