The T-72B1 tanks used by a Russian mechanized unit stationed in Chechnya will be replaced by modernized T-72BM tanks, Russian news agency Interfax reported on January 23, referring to a statement from the head of the "Southern Military district" press-service, Igor Gorbulya.
It's about 40 new tanks that will be deployed in Chechnya to replace the old ones.
